Land at Windmill House, Alton

The homes would be built largely out of red brick, but individual buildings have been designed to incorporate some of the features of existing homes along Windmill Hill, including use of weatherboard and tile hanging, gabled fronts and barn hips.

The indicative proposed housing mix is as follows:

• 4 one-bedroom maisonettes
• 22 two-bedroom houses
• 37 three-bedroom houses
• 7 four-bedroom houses

28 of the homes (40%) would be affordable housing, to a mix of rented tenures and shared ownership properties.
